Andrea B. Malin has been practicing law for twenty-six (26) years.  She has concentrated her practice in bankruptcy and reorganizing cases as an attorney for debtors and creditors.  She has spoken at several seminars and issued printed materials on all issues regarding Chapter 7, Chapter 12 and Chapter 13 cases.  She has been a speaker for various professional groups including the American Bar Association, Mid-Hudson Bankruptcy Bar Association and the Capital Region Bar Association.  She was President of the Mid-Hudson Bankruptcy Bar Association for two (2) consecutive years.  She has extensive experience in the Mortgage Modification Process and has been selected by the Bankruptcy Court to serve on several committees developing the Southern District of New York’s Bankruptcy Court’s Loan Modification Procedures.  She has also served on several committees in conjunction with the Court and local practitioners to aid the Bankruptcy Court in its strategic planning for future practices and procedures.  Ms. Malin has had a great deal of experience in aiding both consumers and businesses to address their financial needs and achieve their financial goals.  She is a member of the New York State and American Bar Association, Mid-Hudson Bankruptcy Bar Association and the Mid-Hudson Women’s Bar Association.

Michelle L. Trier is a partner with the firm of Genova, Malin & Trier, LLP. She has been practicing law for twelve (12) years, exclusively in bankruptcy law. Ms. Trier has substantial experience representing consumer and business debtors in Chapter 7. She also concentrates her practice on corporate and individual reorganizations under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. Ms. Trier is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Mid-Hudson Women’s Bar Association. She is a past President of the Hudson Valley Women’s Bar Association and past Treasurer of the Mid-Hudson Women’s Bar Association. Ms. Trier received her BA from Binghamton University and her JD, cum laude, from Albany Law School.

Thomas Genova has been practicing law for approximately thirty-five (35) years. He has concentrated in bankruptcy and reorganization cases as an attorney for debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, and as a Chapter 7 Private Panel Trustee since 1986. He was a lecturer in Business Law at Marist College from 1985 to 1991.
He has been a speaker for various professional groups to include The New York State Bar Association Programs on Bankruptcy, The Eighth Annual Bankruptcy Law Symposium, Hudson Valley Bankruptcy Bar Association, The National business Institute Programs [Successful Creditor Strategies, Bankruptcy, Basic Bankruptcy in New York, Foreclosure and Repossession, Fundamentals of Bankruptcy Law] and other professional organizations.
